In addition to our monthly dedication to the North Fulton Community Charities food pantry, St. David's continues to serve our global ministry partners as well. The Honduras Building Mission is getting back in gear to head to the children’s home of LAMB in June. There is no scarcity of scarcity in Honduras.
As part of a larger group effort, we are helping to collect upwards of 200 sets of towels and flip flops for the families served by the mission. St. David’s is hoping to collect 50 sets for our part.
Personal care for the most basic needs is something we can help with. Simple shoes that can get wet and towels they can call their own. These items will accompany the missionaries as they head to Honduras in June.
Please take one or more of the LAMBS from the window and bring your donation to the collection zone in the mailbox hallway.
Honduras Building Mission Trip June 17- June 25
We are happy to announce that we are able to return to Honduras for a building mission trip!
There is a trip being scheduled for Friday, June 17th, through Saturday, June 25th, by the Church of the Holy Spirit and we have been invited to join. John McKinnon from St. David's and Amy Hill from St. Aidan's will be part of the adult contingent.
This trip is open to rising eighth-graders through adults. Adult missioners who cannot manage building activities will have other options. The cost for attendees from St. David's is about $575 plus airfare, which is currently running $600-$900 on American.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Bill Sleeper (678-640-5428) or Amy Hill (770-597-4650). A final commitment is needed by the end of April.
