St. David’s Episcopal Church, Inc. (“St. David’s”) respects your privacy and preferences concerning the treatment of personal information that we may collect from your association with us and your use of our website.  This Privacy Policy applies to the www.stdavidchurch.org website (the “Website”).

 

By using the Website, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website.

 

We’ve developed our privacy policy from industry practices, and local, national, and international laws and requirements. All privacy practices and methods described in this policy apply only insofar as permitted by applicable laws and requirements.

Personal information we collect may include, without limitation: your name; age; email address; phone number; mailing address; photograph; names of your children, spouse, or other family members; username; password; payment information; and church/ministry affiliation, provided you submit such information.  In some instances, we may request additional information from you to verify your identity or to create and maintain a personal account for you.  A personal account may be required to enable you to access certain services or non-public areas of the Website.

 

We may also collect certain non-personal information from you when you visit the Website, including but not limited to your browser type, mobile device type, operating system, IP address, geographic location, the domain name or Internet service provider from which you accessed the Website, and other information that cannot be used to specifically identify you.  We may also collect information regarding your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Website, the areas or pages of the Site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing the Website, or the number of times you return to the Website.

 

How We Use Your Information

 

The information you provide will be used to support your relationship with St. David’s, fulfill requests submitted by you through the Website, and facilitate communication between us.  By your acceptance of this Privacy Policy, you authorize us to process your requests and you agree to be contacted by us in response to your requests, as well as receive other announcements and notifications through the communications channels you identify to us.  If you do not want to receive announcements or notifications from us, please contact us at parishadmin@stdavidchurch.com.

The foregoing notwithstanding, we may be required to disclose your information in connection with law enforcement, fraud prevention, regulation, and other legal action or if St. David’s reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to protect St. David’s, its staff, its members, or the public.

A cookie is a small file stored on a user’s computer or mobile device containing information about that user.  St. David’s uses cookies on its website to improve your user experience and to collect the non-personal information described above.  A user that does not allow cookies will still be able to use some portions of the Website, but may not be able to use certain features.

 

Changing or Updating Your Information

 

Any personal information obtained by St. David’s from you belongs to you.  If you wish to remove, change, or update any of your personal information, you may do so by accessing your St. David’s account using the username and password established during your initial login.  All user passwords will be stored in an encrypted format.  If you have any trouble accessing, removing, correcting, or modifying your personal information, or if you wish to instruct us not to disclose personal information to any third party other than those necessary to complete a request you initiate on the Website, please send an email with your request to parishadmin@stdavidchurch.com

 

Note that we may need to retain certain records for legal or internal business reasons and that some of your information may remain on backup systems, in compliance with applicable law.

 

Data Security and Responsibility

 

St. David’s will take reasonable precautions to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration.  Such precautions may include, but are not limited to periodic backing up of all information stored at our servers, checks to identify the presence of any software viruses, and review of our account security measures.  Our vendors, contractors, employees, or partners who have access to your information are required to keep the information confidential and are not permitted to use this information for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for St. David’s.

 

The privacy of communications over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, because the Internet is not a secure medium.  You agree that St. David’s is not responsible for any harm, loss, or damage you may incur by the sending of personal information over the Internet by or to St. David’s.
