The 2024 St David’s Men’s Retreat is scheduled for May 3-5, 2024, at Unicoi State Park in Helen, GA. Please join us for a weekend of Spiritual Renewal and Christian Fellowship led by our speaker, The Reverend Dr. Jim Shumard, priest in charge, St. James, Clayton. He was ordained in the Diocese of Atlanta in 1997, and he has served congregations in the Diocese of Atlanta, the Diocese of Georgia, and the Diocese Of Wyoming. He will be leading our discussion titled, “FIFTY SHADES OF LIVING COLOR: Exploring the multi-verse of Scripture.” Come for a weekend of playful and prayerful approaches to stories in scripture, which will give insights into God‘s love for us and into our day-to-day relationship with God and with one another.
Starting on Friday, May 3, at Noon, we will have optional golf, fishing, hiking, and biking. The formal program will begin on Saturday, May 4. You can quickly drive up on Saturday morning from the Atlanta metro – it’s about a 1.5-hour drive. The program ends on Sunday, May 5, with the program wrap-up and a worship service with Holy Eucharist.
