Four Faiths, One Stage

This unique interfaith event explores the rich history of chant and the recitation of Sacred Scriptures across four faith traditions: Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. After a brief introduction to the chanting practices of each tradition, representatives will offer live examples. Experience Tibetan Buddhist multiphonic chanting, a Gregorian chant ensemble, a recitation from the Qur’an, and a cantor chanting from the Hebrew Bible. Join us and discover how much we share, even as our traditions and practices differ.
