- Honduras, Lamb Institute, Mission Trip Opportunity
We are hoping to organize another mission trip to the Lamb Institute in Honduras December 26, 2025-January 2, 2026. If you are interested in learning more, or possibly going, please complete the interest form below: To say that our previous experience was life-changing would be an understatement. While it wasn’t a stress-free travel experience, it was worth it. We encountered flight delays, the miracle of the flight being rescheduled to “ON TIME.” Got in some cardio work sprinting between flights, but made it! We worshipped together, played games with the children, worked in the sustainable farm, painted cabins, found old and new friends of all ages! No one wanted to have to say goodbye to the sweet children they’d come to love. Gracias a dios para los ninos todos! - Holy Week and Easter at St. David's: A Journey Through Faith and Renewal
As spring blossoms around us, Christians just experienced one of the most sacred and meaningful times of the year: Holy Week and Easter . This season invites us into a deep reflection on the final days of Jesus Christ’s earthly life, culminating in the powerful celebration of His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Palm Sunday – The Journey Begins Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday , a day that commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. At St. David’s, this is marked with a special blessing and procession with palm leaves , reminding us of the crowds who welcomed Jesus with shouts of "Hosanna!" waving palm branches as a sign of hope and praise. It is a joyful yet solemn beginning to a week that will take us through the depths of sorrow to the heights of eternal joy. While Palm Sunday begins in triumph, the service concludes with the Passion Reading of Jesus’ trial and Crucifixion. Holy Wednesday – Stations of the Cross, Walking His Path We walk the path with Jesus as we attempt to share in the solemness and sorrow of His conviction and arduous path carrying the cross to his death, ending at His entombment. Maundy Thursday – A Call to Humility Maundy Thursday draws us into the intimacy of the Last Supper , where Jesus dined with His disciples for the final time. This day is more than a remembrance of a meal—it is a call to live in service and humility. Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, teaching us that no one is above another and that we are called to love and serve one another selflessly. Our Maundy Thursday service reflects this spirit with prayer, communion, quiet reflection and ends with the ritual cleansing of the Altar. Good Friday – The Depth of Sacrifice On Good Friday , we remember the day Jesus was crucified—a moment of profound sorrow and divine sacrifice. It is a solemn day of mourning and contemplation, as we reflect on the cost of grace and the depth of God’s love. Through scripture readings, music, and silence, we are invited to stand at the foot of the cross and witness the ultimate act of redemption. Easter Sunday – He Is Risen! Then comes the highlight of the Christian year : Easter Sunday —a joyous celebration of Jesus’ resurrection and victory over death. It is a time of rejoicing, singing, and proclaiming the Good News: He is risen! The sanctuary is filled with light, flowers, and the sound of praise as we celebrate the miracle that lies at the heart of our faith.

- St. David's to Support NFCC's "Toyland Shop" this December!
The deadline to drop off presents is this Sunday, December 15! North Fulton Community Charities has helped families with holiday assistance for over 30 years, and St. David’s will again be supporting the Toyland Shop program which provides toys and gifts to local children in need at the holidays. This program is unique because unwrapped, donated toys are arranged in a toy store format and qualified parents can pick out their child’s holiday gifts. Last year, this annual program served more than 1,300 hundred children in our community. This holiday assistance relieved the additional financial stress for families living in poverty or from paycheck to paycheck. All the families live in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell. There are two ways to participate. First, gift “stars” will be posted in the sanctuary hallway sorted by various categories on Sunday, November 24 through Sunday, December 15. Browse the gift categories and select as many stars as you and your family desire. Gifts should be returned to the church beginning Sunday, December 1st, and continuing until Sunday, December 15. They must be turned in by Sunday, December 15 . Second, you can support this effort by making an online donation through the NFCC website . From online giving page, put in whatever amount you want to donate, select “NFCC Toyland Shop” from the drop-down list and select “One Time” frequency. You can also send a check to St. David’s and please add “NFCC Toyland Shop” in the memo line. Contact Robert Ward via email if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support!
