Avoid, Deny, Defend: Protecting Oneself in an Active Shooter Situation

It's impossible to escape the news of the recent mass shootings in Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Boulder, among others. Have you ever wondered how you would respond if you found yourself in an active shooter situation? Officer Hal Shoffreitt of the Alpharetta Police Department will share the Avoid/Deny/Defend (ADD) program designed to help civilians be better prepared in an active shooter situation or any act of violence. ADD is an awareness tool that will empower and instill confidence to civilians of all ages, helping us understand that “what we do matters” in an active shooting event. Hopefully, none of us will ever need to use this information, but being informed and educated can empower and strengthen us.

As is our custom, after Officer Shoffreitt's presentation, we will gather in small groups for confidential discussion. For more info, contact LeeHunter@kw.com.

The Zoom invitation is included in your Weekly Illumination and is on the App.
