Transfer a Gift to a Trust

The Charitable Lead Trust enables you to transfer assets (normally $500,000 or more) to a trust that pays its income to St. David’s for a set period of time, generally ten to twenty years. St. David’s would receive the income from the trust immediately. At the end of the designated time period, the principal and all capital appreciation returns to you or your designated beneficiaries. This type of trust could offer significant gift and estate tax savings. Please consult your financial advisor and legal counsel for guidance and information.
