Holy Tuesday is a significant day in the Christian calendar, which falls on the Tuesday of Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter Sunday. It is believed to be the day when Jesus gave his final teachings to his disciples before his crucifixion. The Gospel of Matthew records that Jesus spent the day in the Temple in Jerusalem, teaching the people and engaging in debate with the religious leaders. In the evening, Jesus left the city with his disciples, and as they were passing by the Mount of Olives, he prophesied about the destruction of the Temple and the signs of his second coming. One of the most well-known verses from this day is Matthew 24:35, where Jesus says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."
