PreK Plus is for children 4 years old turning 5 years of age by 12/31/20
NOTE: – CHILDREN MUST BE POTTY TRAINED
Five day per week class held on Monday-Friday from 9:30 AM-1 PM and the cost is $3,735 per year or 9 monthly payments of $415.
PreK Plus class is for children age 4 and a half at the start of preschool and is appropriate for children who have a fifth birthday in the spring/summer and need an extra year before starting full day Kindergarten. It allows for some accelerated Pre-K work (free play, alphabet, handwriting, numbers, math play, science, weather, calendar activities, stories, games, cutting, writing, and counting skills) “plus” exposure to emerging concepts (phonics, reading, Handwriting without Tears, early math concepts). Students attend Spanish, Music, Movement, and Chapel each week, and play outdoors every day. With a limited enrollment of 10 students, children can have a small teacher to student ratio that allows for individual and small group instruction.
With sensitivity to COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocol, children will arrive and depart by way of carpool. Upon arrival, children will have a temperature check prior to leaving the car. The only adults in our preschool wing during the morning hours are members of our staff.
A mid-morning “nut free” snack will be provided for the whole class by the preschool. Teachers share weekly lesson plans with parents and detailed evaluations are given to parents in January (parent teacher conference) and again in May.
Teaching focus is on social interaction, fine motor and early learning skills appropriate in preparing for Kindergarten.
