Ways to Serve St. David's this May! Updated May 19.

St. David's offers many opportunities for members to get involved in service and the life of the church. Serving in Ministry ensures everyone has a place at the table and builds relationships within the community. Below is a list of St. David's ministries that have current needs.

Some ministries are suitable for individuals, some for teams, and some might even work for a whole family. Get together and make it fun!

We hope you will find something that makes your heart sing.

Pentecost Picnic-

Ron Felder is looking for volunteers to help set up and break down the Pentecost Picnic. If you can help with the annual fellowship celebration, please contact Ron Felder.

Agape Meal Ministry

Do you love to cook and share the love of Jesus? St. David's Agape Meal Ministry provides meals for those who may be recovering from surgery, illness, loss of a loved one, or after the birth of a baby. This ministry allows us to walk alongside our church family and feed them not only with food, but with the love of their community. If you are interested in serving in this important pastoral care ministry, contact Amy Eliza Springer.

Greeters

Studies have shown first-time visitors to church make up their minds about whether they’re coming back in the first 10-15 minutes of their visit. The Welcome Ministry reflects the heart of our St. David’s community by making all who enter our doors feel wanted and cared for. The time commitment is small…the rewards are great. We would love for you to join this ministry. Questions? Please contact Nicole Highsmith or Robert Malpeli.

Flower Guild

Do you enjoy arranging flowers? The Flower Guild is looking for a few more members to help create arrangements for Sunday Services and to help decorate the Church for Christmas and Easter. No experience is needed. If you are interested, please get in touch with Karen Marshall.

Ushers

If you're looking for a great way to get involved in our services, please consider becoming an usher. You'll serve at only one service a month, so the commitment is minimal. This is a ministry of hospitality, as your main role is to make your fellow parishioners comfortable. No previous experience is needed. Please contact Thomas Nolfa, Head Usher, by email, to be added to the existing teams. Thank you in advance for making St. David's that special place

Coffee Hour

St. David's Coffee Ministry needs more volunteers to make coffee for and refresh the Sunday coffee station. If you are interested, please contact Grace Horn by clicking this link.

Office

St. David's Parish Administrator, Rebecca, is always looking for folks who would be interested in helping out in the office in the following ways:

  • Spending a couple of hours one day a week to help answer the phones.

  • Creating name tags.

  • Helping maintain the mailboxes once a month.

If you are interested, please email Rebecca.
