Join us Sunday, August 7, for Back To School Sunday!
Back to School Sunday will consist of Blessing of the Backpacks at the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services and Children and Youth Sunday School Registration during the Sunday School hour..
Children's Sunday School Registration will be on the playground, 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Families and Children, 3 years old to 5 grade, are invited to the playground to sign up for Sunday School and stay for fellowship, sand art, snacks, and fun! Questions? Contact Judy Hine, Director of Children's Ministry. Online Registration will be open late July.
Youth Ministry Sunday School Registration will be at the Sinclair House., 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. This year we will be learning about the Fruits of the Spirit and focusing on how to embody all these characteristics in our everyday lives to be better followers of God. This time together will serve as an information session for parents and youth, and a chance for some fellowship and fun! All youth (6-12 grade_ and their families are invited! Questions? The St. David's Reading Project will be a 7-week podcast hosted by The Rev. Remington Slone, Rector of St. David's and Rebecca, St. David's Parish Administrator, where we will read three books that have been chosen by St. David's Youth! A St. David's youth will be joining us for a discussion of each title.

St. David's is happy to announce that we are able to return to Honduras for a building mission trip!
There is a trip being scheduled for Friday, June 17, through Saturday, June 25, by the Church of the Holy Spirit and we have been invited to join. John McKinnon from St. David's and Amy Hill from St. Aidan's will be part of the adult contingent.
This trip is open to rising eighth-graders through adults. Adult missioners who cannot manage building activities will have other options. If you are interested in attending or have questions, please contact Bill Sleeper or the church office. A final commitment is needed by the end of April.
Join the St. David’s Hunger Walk Team!
March 6th is the 38th annual Hunger Walk/Run in Atlanta! This event is put on by the Atlanta Community Food bank and is aimed to raise awareness and funds for local hunger relief. Proceeds from this event benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank, as well as other nonprofit organizations that help fight food insecurity in the local community, including the Episcopal Community Foundation!
For many years, St. David’s has sent a team to participate in the Hunger Walk/Run, and this year we are excited to take part again! To register, please CLICK HERE and select “Join a Team”. Select the “St. David’s” team, and you can complete the registration process from there. The walk will start at The Home Depot Backyard (1 Backyard Way, Atlanta, GA 30313). If you chose to join the team, more information will be sent out to the team once it is created.
The hunger walk is a wonderful event and a great chance to make a difference in our greater Atlanta community, so please consider joining us! If you have any questions about the Hunger Walk/Run, or about how to register, please reach out to Grace Horn, Director of Youth Ministries.
This Sunday, August 8, grab your Backpacks and bring them to the 9:00 Family Service, the 11:15 a.m. Rite II Service, or the 1:15 p.m. Hispanic Service for the Blessing of the Backpacks!
As we do for all things, we ask God for his blessings and a new school year is no different!

Saint David's will also be holding Sunday School Sign-Ups on the playground starting at 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for both Children and Youth. Join us for snacks, sand art and smiles!

All youth are invited and encouraged to participate in a Youth Town Hall meeting to discuss the transition between Wallace Benton and the future youth minister. Doughnuts will be served. This will be a meeting for just youth. We hope to see you and hear your ideas about our Youth Program.
