St. David's is excited to welcome guest speaker, Dr. Mark Douglas, professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, to the Rector's Forum on May 15. He will also be preaching the sermon at the 11:15 a.m. Service that Sunday.
The Rector's Forum lecture will explore environmental ethics from a Christian perspective, taking into account historical documents and current experience of environmental issues, guiding participants in shaping an ethical response to today's environmental challenges. Please join us! All are welcome!

Lenten Quiet Day: “Walking with Christ” March 12, 2022 9:45 a.m. Light brunch and coffee 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Program Grace Hall Facilitated by Darlene Swanson, M.Div. In Lent, we are encouraged to come away from our routine to make space for quiet reflection and prayer. As Jesus makes his way into the wilderness to pray, we are invited to journey with him; to create intentional space for us to discern the service to which God calls us. Join us for “Walking with Christ,” a Lenten Quiet Day set apart to be still, open ourselves to the Holy Spirit, and prepare our hearts for Easter.
Lenten Quiet Day is open to the entire parish. St. David's invites you to enhance your journey through Lent this year by making available to you daily meditations written by fellow parishioners involved in our Education for Ministry (EfM) program and the clergy.
If you want to receive these daily meditations through email every morning throughout Lent, please click on this link. Merry Christmas from the Thursday Morning Bible Study!
We hope you will consider joining us in our study of The Divided Kingdom when we re"zoom" in the New Year! We love new faces! If you would like to join us, you can watch any of our lessons at https://bit.ly/StDavidsYoutube. Just look for the Thursday Morning Bible Study Playlist! |
