St. David's is excited to welcome guest speaker, Dr. Mark Douglas, professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, to the Rector's Forum on May 15. He will also be preaching the sermon at the 11:15 a.m. Service that Sunday.
The Rector's Forum lecture will explore environmental ethics from a Christian perspective, taking into account historical documents and current experience of environmental issues, guiding participants in shaping an ethical response to today's environmental challenges.
Please join us! All are welcome!
St. David's is happy to announce that we are able to return to Honduras for a building mission trip!
There is a trip being scheduled for Friday, June 17, through Saturday, June 25, by the Church of the Holy Spirit and we have been invited to join. John McKinnon from St. David's and Amy Hill from St. Aidan's will be part of the adult contingent.
This trip is open to rising eighth-graders through adults. Adult missioners who cannot manage building activities will have other options. If you are interested in attending or have questions, please contact Bill Sleeper or the church office. A final commitment is needed by the end of April.
Celebrate Palm Sunday with us!
Sam's Path Farms will be providing St. David's with a donkey for our annual Procession of the Palms for the 9:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 1:15 p.m. services. We begin these services by gathering in the traffic circle in front of Jeffords Hall for the blessing of the Palms and then processing to the church by following the sidewalk along Old Roswell Rd. We will then enter the church, process down the hallway, and be seated.
The 7:45 a.m. service will gather at the beginning of the service on the church entrance stairs.
We look forward to having you join us!
