Liturgical Support
ALTAR GUILD
The Altar Guild is entirely responsible for the care and preparation
of the sanctuary and all of its appointments for our eight services
each week. The work of the Altar Guild is a quiet and constant labor
of love, a silent and unceasing gift to God and to his people.
FLOWER GUILD
Flowers are a sign of the resurrection and add beauty to the sanctuary.
Parishioners have the opportunity to contribute them as memorials or as
thanksgiving offerings. Members of the Flower Guild serve on a rotating
basis to arrange the flowers in the church.
LAY READERS & CHALICE BEARERS
Laypersons serve St. David's as Lectors and Lay Eucharistic Ministers
according to need. They assist at almost all public services by reading
the lessons, leading the Prayers of the People, and administering the
chalice. Any confirmed adult communicant in good standing is eligible
to become part of this ministry. Training is provided.
USHERS
This is a dedicated group who work during the Sunday morning worship
services handing out service bulletins, putting out chairs as needed,
seating parishioners, passing the offering plates, guiding parishioners
to the communion rail for communion, and generally greet visitors, etc.
