Music at St. David's

In the Anglican (Episcopal) tradition, music is central to our worship, as it has been with God’s people back to the time of captivity in Egypt. At Saint David’s, we make room for a full and richly varied Christian musical expression, understanding that what lifts one heart may not another. The music part of our ministry is under the Direction of Mr. G. Ernest Plunkett, who has served Saint David’s since 1981.

Here at Saint David’s you will enjoy a fine adult choir with a very traditional Episcopal repertoire, accompanied by our beautiful Austin Organ. On a regular basis, you can enjoy high quality praise music with FolkMassters, our folk music group. During the year we offer Taizé music as a way to lift our voices to God.

We offer a variety of choir choices for children. See the Children’s Music Ministry section on the Choir page (click on Choirs at left nav bar). And we make room for more contemporary Christian music featured in our youth Mass.

In the years ahead we expect the music program to expand considerably.
