A Ministry of Faith, Fun, and Fellowship For Fourth & Fifth graders

WHEN & WHERE?
We meet the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 2:30-4:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Dress is casual – we do get messy in relays and activities. A couple times a year we go off campus for a special activity. You will receive mailings and/or phone tree about this.

WHAT WE DO & WHY?
The purpose of PALS is to offer an opportunity for fun and fellowship among the top two grades of the Children’s Program. I work hard to make the meetings fun, relaxing, and community building. Our intent is to encourage the forging of friendships between PALS and their parents in these important years prior to entering the Youth Program in 6th Grade.

We are also actively engaged in stewardship opportunities through the year, which the children have really enjoyed and have asked to do more! We have a couple new fun things for the year ahead in the works.

WHAT PALS NEED TO DO?
Come to PALS meetings. Relax and have fun! Dress casually. Participate in the fun. Eat great food! Meet great people. Other people’s parents are cool!

WHAT PARENTS NEED TO DO?
Bring your 4th and 5th grader to PALS meetings!

PALS works best when I have some parent volunteers to work with me at each meeting. This is essential for maximum fun and safety and is a great opportunity for the parents and the PALS to get to know one another’s families as well.

I need a minimum of 3 adult volunteers (the kids enjoys Moms or Dads or both) each week to run a smooth program. Sorry, but we do not have childcare available for younger siblings.

I am asking you sign up for a minimum of 2 turns during the course of the year. If you are not available to be physically present, I can always use an extra pair of hands for snack and activity prep ahead of the date.
